Your agitator has been designed for your specific application. Proper operating procedures will allow maximum performance. The following list will aid in the safe operation of your unit.

  • Do not operate the unit before reading and following the instructions on all tags and nameplates attached to the unit.
  • Do not operate the unit in a fluid with a specific gravity or viscosity higher than that for which the unit was designed
  • Do not attempt to start a unit with the mixing impeller buried in solids or a "set-up" fluid.
  • Do not attempt to repair or replace the magnet coupling assembly. Any operating problems should be referred directly to Magna-Safe International.
  • Do not make any changes in the field (i.e., motor horsepower, agitator speed, shaft length, impeller diameter, impeller blade width, etc.) without reviewing the change with Magna-Safe International.
  • Do not run the mixer dry. THE "MSS" MIXER MUST NOT BE RUN DRY!
  • Do not operate the mixer during the CIP cycle until the impeller is covered or the bearings are properly wetted. The mixer speed during the CIP cycle should not exceed 50 rpm.
